Salvation is for everyone.
At Mims, we believe that having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is at the heart of our faith. It is through this relationship that we come to know God's love, experience His grace, and find meaning and purpose in our lives. We want to share this transformative power of the gospel with others, and that is why we urge you to know how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether you are a new seeker or a long-time believer, building a relationship with Christ is a continuous process of prayer, study, and reflection. If you have already received Salvation, we would love to hear from you as well! Your testimony can be a source of inspiration and encouragement for others who may be seeking the same hope and joy that you have found in Christ. Please click below and share your story with us!
Become a Christian
Follow the simple steps below:
STEP 1: Know that God loves you and wants you to have eternal life. This means accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and following his teachings. Through faith in Jesus and repentance of sin, one can be forgiven and receive salvation. It is important to recognize that Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned through good works or personal merit...
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him might not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16,17
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him might not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16,17
STEP 2: God has made Salvation and forgiveness as simple as "A-B-C"...
- Admit that you are a sinner and therefore separated from a holy God. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
- Believe that Jesus Christ died for you and rose from the dead to pay for your sins. "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
- Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior by repenting (turning from) of your sin and trusting Him alone for forgiveness and salvation. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 "Behold, I (Jesus Christ) stand at the door (of your life) and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in... Revelation 3:20
STEP 3: If you truly want to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, here is a simple prayer to pray from your heart to God's heart...
That's it... it's that simple! Welcome to the family of believers!
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
I admit that I am a sinner.
I believe Jesus Christ died for my sin and rose again.
Right now, I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.
I invite Him to come into my life and take control.
In Jesus' name, Amen

Baptism
Share your decision with others & make an outward profession
The Bible instructs that baptism takes place after one has placed their faith in Jesus for their salvation. Baptism is the public commitment that a person makes that Jesus is Lord. The Bible says that all professing Christians should be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20). Whether you've been following Jesus for a long time and have never been baptized or you are a new Christian looking to profess as you start your new journey, we would be honored to baptize you!
We want to pray with & for you.
Prayer possesses significant potential for change and growth. In simpler terms, prayer is not merely a monologue, but rather a potent means to alter our situation and even impact the environment we inhabit. Prayer is not just words or duration but more importantly, it establishes a connection between us and God. Prayer can sometimes seem overwhelming, especially for when you feel alone in your struggles. Please know that you are not alone and we're here for you.
