Salt & Light derives its name from Matthew 5:13-16, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty? It’s no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. “You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

As believers, we are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Our desire is for every K–4th grader to build a strong biblical foundation that equips them to live this out. We pray that, as they grow in their relationship with Christ, they will influence the world around them with His love and truth. May they shine brightly for Jesus and be the light that our world so desperately needs.

Gate 56 derives its name from Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter through the narrow gate. For the
gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go
through it. How narrow is the gate and di`icult the road that leads to life, and few find it.”

Our desire is to help your 5 & 6 graders navigate this pivotal season of life by encouraging them to pursue Christ wholeheartedly, stand firm in their faith, and set their minds on what is eternal rather than seeking the approval of the world.
